HOJ Logistics Engineering has over 35 years of experience performing Logistics Studies to develop lean processes for our Customers.

The Hoj Logistics Study is a disciplined engineering effort to determine the “best value” concept for material storage and productivity improvement. In many of these systems, we adapted a world class manufacturing and distribution center into an existing warehouse.  In several of the studies we actually developed a manufacturing and distribution system and designed a new building around that system.

 

 

Engineering services elements:

    • We hold an on-site kick-off meeting to review and crystallize the study objectives; insure we understand the ground rules for plant safety along with any other necessary guidelines.
    • Update manufacturing, rack and facility storage plan to current rack layout
    • Flow chart and document current processes
    • Identify processes and operations that require multiple non-value added touches, long cycle times, and excess WIP inventories
    • Develop process, material handling technologies, and material storage methods that will reduce roll and flat manual handling, reduce WIP inventories, and reduce process cycle times.
    • We will confirm our concept solutions, budget estimates and cost justification
    • Present a final PowerPoint study report with 3/d concept designs, implementation schedules, budget pricing and a summary financial justification analysis for the recommended solutions
